AUGUSTO BITTER (any pronoun) is a Venezuelan-born, Dora Award-winning actor and writer for stage and screen based in Toronto. Augusto has been a resident artist at the Canadian Film Centre, Canadian Stage, Soulpepper, Factory, Aluna Theatre, Theatre Passe Muraille, hub14, and the city of Toronto. He completed BIPOC TV & Film’s Kids TV Writing Intensive, wrote an episode for Miss Persona (Season 4) on Treehouse, is developing an animated series for kids. Augusto's first play, CHICHO, is also a short film that has screened at 11 major cities across North and South America, and a dance-theatre piece, Reina, is premiering in May 2025. Augusto has also been an educator with Soulpepper, Paprika Festival, Story Planet, and Project: Humanity.
