AUGUSTO BITTER (any pronoun) is a Venezuelan-born, Dora Award-winning actor and writer for stage and screen based in Toronto. Augusto has been a resident artist at the Canadian Film Centre, Reelworld Film Festival, Canadian Stage, Soulpepper, Factory, Aluna Theatre, TPM, and the city of Toronto, developing theatre, animated series, and feature films. Augusto's first play, CHICHO, is also a short film that has screened at 11 major cities across North and South America, and a dance-theatre piece, Reina, is premiering in May 2025 at Buddies in Bad Times Theatre. Augusto has also been an educator with Soulpepper, Paprika Festival, Story Planet, and Project: Humanity.
